About the SAPPLEDEN TRIO

Eri Sako – violin. Eri started to play the violin at the age of three. Her father's work took her to Egypt, Lebanon and the UK. Eri studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, with the late Prof. Yfrah Neaman and with David Takeno. She is based in Oxford and plays in orchestras, but prefers playing chamber music.

Graham Appleton – cello. Graham had a medical training and worked as an NHS consultant in North Oxfordshire. Music has always been important to him and he has played solo and in chamber ensembles and orchestras. He retired early to focus on the cello, taking advanced lessons from Peter Adams. Before moving to Adderbury in North Oxfordshire, he set up the Brandon Hill Chamber Orchestra in Bristol. He now plays chamber music in Oxfordshire, in London and in Florida. He also plays in and is involved in the administration of the 440 Chamber Orchestra, the Oxford Chamber Orchestra and the Sinfonia of Birmingham. In another life in Florida, Graham is working with the Naples Orchestra & Chorus, and the Gulf Coast Symphony.

Marie Denivelle – piano. Marie has been a member of the Kingston & District Chamber Music Society for about 25 years (www.kdcms.org.uk) and performs chamber music at their monthly concerts. She has attended many chamber music courses and received coaching from a number of professionals.
